Mission Statement
Progreso is a community development and advocacy nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to serve and empower immigrants to improve the quality of their lives and of their communities through education, immigration services, and leadership development.
Progreso's vision is to improve the quality of life of immigrants and their families (Progreso brochure).
Summer Volunteer Opportunities
ESL Teachers Needed: Teachers help refugees and immigrants improve their English language skills. A curriculum is already in place for your use. Orientation and Training take place prior to being placed with a class.
Must be able to teach two 2-hour classes per week (4 hours per week). Morning, afternoon, and evening slots are currently available. Contact Cristina Schoendorf at 703-799-8830 or cschoen@progreso-hispano.org.
